This one hour film for BBC3 focuses on the surreal life of Rebecca Flint, a 14 year old schoolgirl from the Isle Of Man.
Rebecca became a superstar in Japan when she uploaded YouTube videos of herself dancing to Japanese anime songs. In the Far East she is known as Beckii Cruel, regularly performs in front of thousands of fans, appears on chat shows, has released records and is mobbed in the streets. Back home she is an ordinary schoolgirl with all the growing pains of any teenager. How does she cope with the fame? And what are her parents long term hopes for their talented daughter?
